The Euro FC Academy Program is our highest competitive level of soccer training. The Academy program is designed for players who are willing and able to commit to an extended season, at a higher level of training with the intent to travel to regional and national level tournaments as desired by the teams. It is the program that is a pathway for players to be seen at different showcase tournaments where they can be evaluated by programs at the next level beyond local youth soccer.
Teams are formed by tryout, training begins in February and a minimum of 6 tournaments will be played.
This program implies a primary commitment to playing soccer with the Academy team for a 6 month period. The expectation is that every player will honor this commitment to the team and plan to participate fully in team activities, to the absolute best of his or her ability. Participation in other sports or activities is not forbidden; but, missing practice or tournaments due to other sports participation should be extremely limited. Frequent absence from the Academy training program or tournaments will not be allowed on these teams.
If a player is not participating in practices or tournaments with a frequency that coaching determines to be detrimental to the normal functioning of the team, the player may be dismissed from the Academy team and reassigned to a non Academy team or program. For questions regarding this, please contact our Director of Coaching, Angelo Tartaglia (firstname.lastname@example.org).
After initial team formation, vacant roster spots on any Academy teams may be filled at the discretion of the Director of Coaching and Technical Director via private tryouts. Each team will have 18 tournament roster slots available. All add on players on tournament rosters slots occurring prior to February 28th will be required to pay the entire tuition of the Academy program. Prorated amounts will be offered, per the Euro FC Board of Directors, after February 28th.
The Academy Program tryouts will be used to form up to Six Euro FC Academy teams. Tryouts will be open to boys and girls aged 13U - 18U.
Established Teams: Teams that have participated in our Elite or Academy program will be actively supported until they age out of the 19U Bracket. The following teams will be formed for the 2019 season. Tryouts are required, but these teams will be continued with their core of players, and new editions/changes will be decided after tryouts.
NEW ACADEMY TEAMS: It is our hope that like minded players that would like to all play on a competitive team will come together for try outs to form teams in open age brackets (e.g. 14 or 15U girls, or a 16U boys team. etc. Once teams are formed, the team and core players will be supported in the Academy program through 19U Level.
In 2019, we anticipate having a 17U Girls team with the coach anticipated to be Angelo Tartaglia.
The goal of our Academy Program is to form and support player development to C1 or Premier caliber teams. Teams may start at a C2 level early, but the end goal is to provide a high quality conditioning and training experience that will allow players and teams to develop to the C1 or Premier level. Our goal is to provide a great program with great training to optimize player development at the highest level.
Location: We plan to have our Academy tryouts at the Euro FC Fields. Location may change due to weather.

Additional Tournaments and Showcases - the goal of the Euro FC Academy program is to support player development at the highest level. If a team has a desire to travel to additional tournaments or showcases, then the club will do everything we can to support these endeavors. Additional expenses will be the responsibility of the teams. Typical expenses to cover would be additional registration costs, coaching travel, coaching per diems, and coach hotels.
There will be no refunds for tournament fees.
Additional tournaments are allowed, but will not be required. If the teams choose extra tournaments, they must be approved by the Academy Coordinator, and all fees for the team and coaches will have to be covered by individual teams.
